The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon from State Lane Vineyard is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. It exhibits an exceptional aroma of lead pencil shavings, plums, licorice, black currants, and white chocolate, with a firm, Bordeaux-like structure, good purity, and remarkably sweet fruit. Over time of ageing, the tertiary aromas become more pronounced, showing more flavors like tobacco and leather that gives extra complexity to the wines.
