Bibbiano, Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigne di Montornello 2015
The Bibbiano Vigne di Montornello Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2015 is produced from Sangiovese grapes grown on the Montornello slope. In cooler, rainier summers, this wine tends to dilute its structure in favor of broader complexity. The vineyard soil composed of pliocene calcareous clay sediments, including Alberese river pebbles, mixed with sandy layers, gypsum, and red clays. Notable for its bright ruby-red color with violet highlights, the wine offers aromas of cherry, black cherry, currants, raspberry, and cassis. On the palate, it presents an elegant structure with smooth tannins.
