Composed of 98% Mourvèdre and 2% Syrah, this wine boasts a brilliant, intense robe with a deep ruby colour. Its nose exudes finesse, offering delicate notes of spices, menthol, and cedar. On the palate, it reveals a persistent, spicy character with round tannins, culminating in flavors of blackberry and black pepper on the finish.

The 2017 Volnay displays a radiant ruby color with hints of garnet at the rim. On the nose, aromas of ripe cherries, red currants, and wild strawberries dance gracefully with delicate floral notes of violets and rose petals. The palate is elegant and refined, accompanied by a touch of earthiness and a whisper of minerality that speaks to its terroir of Volany.

Alain Burguet, a winemaker from the Côte de Nuits in Gevrey-Chambertin (Côte-d’Or), vinifies a plot of Pinot Noir spanning approximately 1 hectare under the Bourgogne appellation. The domaine’s Bourgogne Rouge Les Pince Vin offers a beautiful balance between density of material and aromatic power (small black fruits), with a slightly tannic yet supple mouthfeel that provides freshness.
