The Cotes de Nuits Villages “Les Croix Violettes” has a beautiful ruby robe. Typical Burgundian nose evoking black cherry, raspberries, and blackberries. Aging (18 months in demi-muids on fine lees) is perfectly integrated. The palate is very delicate, refined, and subtle. An airy, fresh, and delicious Côte de Nuits. Light silky tannins and nice tension lead to a long finish with crunchy fruitiness.
